2010 Fantasy Foosball Analysis (Part 2 of 3)
Here is how the draft went last night - along with some commentary.*
*All commentary is just some friendly joking. Maybe some serious commentary in there as well.
Round: 1
(1) Team Mak - Chris Johnson RB (No brainer. I would’ve gone with AP myself because that’s probably a safer pick, but you can’t go wrong with CJ.)
(2) Team liu - Ray Rice RB (This was a surprise. I would have definitely went with AP here.)
(3) Team Vora - Adrian Peterson RB (No brainer.)
(4) GMEN Champs - Maurice Jones-Drew RB (No brainer.)
(5) Gimme That Trophy - Frank Gore RB (We were deciding between Gore and Andre Johnson. We went with Gore because I think he’ll be an elite RB this year.)
(6) Daft Attack - Steven Jackson RB (Will his body be able to hold up after the beatings he normally takes?)
(7) Galileo Humpkins - Andre Johnson WR (Right place to take him.)
(8) Team Fenix - Aaron Rodgers QB (I think Aaron Rodgers will be the #1 QB this year, but this is way too early for him. There’s too many QBs left on the board to take him.)
(9) Team Hiren - Drew Brees QB
(10) Team come git some - Michael Turner RB (Solid pick.)
(11) Team DECAL - Ryan Grant RB (Also solid.)
(12) Team InfamY - DeAngelo Williams RB (I would have went with a WR at this point. But I guess since he’s taking one with his next pick, this is solid.)

(13) Team InfamY - Randy Moss WR (I’ll just act surprised that he took Randy Moss.)
(14) Team DECAL - Peyton Manning QB (I think it’s still too early for a QB.)
(15) Team come git some - Tom Brady QB (But if everyone else is taking a QB, might as well take the last elite one.)
(16) Team Hiren - Ricky Williams RB (Not too sure about this pick. I think Shonn Greene would have been a better pick here since he splits time with Ronnie Brown. If Brown goes down with an injury, this will be a great pick.)
(17) Team Fenix - Reggie Wayne WR (Safe pick.)
(18) Galileo Humpkins - Shonn Greene RB (Can he handle the load of a #1 RB?)
(19) Daft Attack - Larry Fitzgerald WR (Good pick, but question marks because of Matt Leinart.)
(20) Gimme That Trophy - Roddy White WR (The next few RBs were about the same in terms of talent, but I really wanted Jamaal Charles. I knew I could take him next round so I just wanted to lock up a safe WR.)
(21) GMEN Champs - Ryan Mathews RB (Rookie, so who knows what will happen? Still, safe pick.)
(22) Team Vora - Miles Austin WR
(23) Team liu - Philip Rivers QB (Rivers at this point is definitely too early. I would have taken Tony Romo if I needed a QB. Or Matt Schaub. Either one would be better. But a RB woudl have been ideal here. Or a top tier receiver.)
(24) Team Mak - Matt Forte RB (Solid… if he gets out of his slump.)

(25) Team Mak - DeSean Jackson WR (Good pick. Questions because of Kevin Kolb, but I think he’ll be fine.)
(26) Team liu - Brandon Marshall WR
(27) Team Vora - Tony Romo QB
(28) GMEN Champs - Calvin Johnson WR
(29) Gimme That Trophy - Jamaal Charles RB (I think Charles will be the sleeper of the draft. If he can get a majority of the carries, he showed what he can do late last season.)
(30) Daft Attack - Cedric Benson RB (I think Benson will be decent this season. Not sure why he dropped to 30th, but I liked Charles better.)
(31) Galileo Humpkins - Greg Jennings WR (I like Jennings a lot this year. I think he’s lower than he should be.)
(32) Team Fenix - Beanie Wells RB
(33) Team Hiren - Steve Smith WR (This is the Giants one. I doubt he’d do as well as he did last year.)

(35) Team DECAL - Rashard Mendenhall RB

(38) Team DECAL - Hines Ward WR (I don’t trust Ward because he has Byron Leftwich as his QB for the first 4 weeks.)

(42) Galileo Humpkins - Steve Smith WR (I was hoping he’d drop even further to me. Great receiver, but questions at QB.)

(48) Team Mak - Joe Flacco QB (I like Schaub better here, but not a bad pick.)

(49) Team Mak - Vincent Jackson WR (We don’t know what’s going to happen with VJ. If he ends up on a crappy team, this isn’t that great of a pick. But if he has someone to throw him the ball, this will be great value. But he’s going to be out the first few weeks.)
(50) Team liu - Dallas Clark TE (Best value TE. He’s like having another receiver.)
(51) Team Vora - Mike Sims-Walker WR (I have serious question marks about this guy. He’s got talent, but there’s some issues here.)
(52) GMEN Champs - Antonio Gates TE (Next best TE… maybe.)
(53) Gimme That Trophy - Vernon Davis TE (Got the guy I really wanted.)

(55) Galileo Humpkins - Jahvid Best RB (Maybe a steal here. Who knows until the season starts playing out.)

(75) Team Vora - Mike Wallace WR (We wanted this guy, but there were too many good WRs for us to reach for him.)

(77) Gimme That Trophy - Ahmad Bradshaw RB (We needed a backup RB, I think he was the best one left.)
